Paediatric posting in BP is about making good impressions to our co-ordinator during his clinical teaching. Other than that, it's all about bronchopneumonia and C.pen!

The day starts at 0730hrs - be in Ward 2 and spend 30minutes saying hello to patients. Then adjourn to the library in Ward 1 for the daily handover at 0800hrs. Handovers typically last about 20-40 mins, all depending on the previous night's case load.

From 0900hrs onwards, we will be in either Ward 1, Ward 2, SCN, or in Clinic 5. Stuff to look forward to is the Journal Club, where we learn about critical review of clinical papers. And of course, the CME a.k.a. Talk Show to Hospital Staffs & Doctors!

Videoconference with Dato Jai is enjoyable, not stressful one. Unlike the clinical teachings with our co-ordinator (for the presenter for that particular session only, the rest can sleep!).


Other than the two compulsory portfolios, Paediatrics in summary is fairly enjoyable, considering the next groups wouldn't have to rush CFCS reports. Look at how Kok Fang enjoy our first posting:
