This is a 22-year-old chinese male, currently a 4th year medical student, presented with 1 week history of maculopapular rashes which are itchy in nature. the distribution is predominantly truncal and are limbs-sparing. it is of sudden onset. he has no fever, URTI and is systemically well. on past medical history, he is allergic to alcohol (eruption of urticaria after taking alcohol). the family history is unremarkable. he is not a smoker nor an alcoholic. there is no recent travel history. however, he was busy preparing for his first professional exam when the rashes started to appear.
vital signs were all normal
on general examination, there is a whitish lesion (ulcer??) within the lip. there are no lympadenopathy. below is the picture of the rashes:
the FBC shows a normal total white cell count but a raised lymphocytes.
so...wat had happened to this patient??

Sexually Transmitted Disease, probably HIV causing candidiasis secondary to swimming in a public pool which doesn't affect anyone else.
