Our First Full Marathon

Having successfully completed our half-marathons, I think it's high time we hit the full one down south come December! No more "a taste of the big stuff", Mr Lau! Let's eat the big stuff!

I think we should decide early, whether or not to participate, as the difference in registration fees could save us some S$30.00 (~RM70). So who's in? Do let me know! I will then discuss with Gabriel on how much IMU is subsidising! Cheers!

From the official site FAQ:

Where are the water stations?

The first water station is located 3km from the start line. Water stations are located at an interval of 1.5km on the course.

In addition, there will be isotonic drink stations located every 3km on the course, with the first at the 6km mark for the full and half marathon runners, and at the 9km mark for runners running the 10km route.

Water will be made available at the Start Point, while the end point will be equipped with both water and isotonic drinks.

The water provided is Ice Mountain Drinking Water and the isotonic drink provided is non-carbonated 100PLUS.

Where are the Fruit Stations?
There will be banana stations at the 15km and the 30 km point.

How long will the route be closed to traffic?
Participants still on the route after 12pm (6 hours from the start time) will be required to run on the footpaths. Don't worry. As long as you finish your race, the well-deserved finisher medal is yours. No matter how long you take.
(Wa...this is the best feature!)

Is there transportation before and after the event?

Yes, shuttle services are available from 15 different locations around Singapore to transport runners and supporters to the start line.

Public transport is available at the finish point. i.e. City Hall MRT and public bus services.
